  3. @1    Peri stared at the picture on the wall. It appeared to be getting 
  4. bigger! Maybe it was just her eyes, but no, the eye was definetely 
  5. changing.
  6.  
  7.     "Doctor", she yelled and within seconds the Doctor came running 
  8. from the Tardis Control Panel.
  9.  
  10.     "Not now Peri", replied the Doctor in his sixth known state, 
  11. blonde locks flowing in the air.
  12.  
  13.     "But it's changing", responded Peri, seeing the Doctor's patience 
  14. was wearing thin. It had been like that ever since they landed on 
  15. this alien planet. What in the world could be wrong? She repeated the 
  16. question over and over again.

  18.     But Peri was indeed right and the picture was indeed changing. The
  19. Doctor could see the changes more and more clearly as the seconds 
  20. passed by. Had the Doctor been a worrying sort of man he would have 
  21. done more than just puzzle, but worrying was not what the Doctor was
  22. all about. Venusian pictures aren't supposed to change, he told 
  23. himself. Certainly not! Unless of course he was on Farota Three, which
  24. he seriously doubted. The question pondered through the Doctor's mind.
  25. Was he going through another change?
  26.  
  27.     The Doctor thought he'd like another state. Perhaps the exterior 
  28. of a woman but the interior of a man. Well why not? No, he couldn't 
  29. put her through it again! Poor Peri.
  30.  
  31.     Summing up all his thoughts in his unconsciouss mind, the Doctor 
  32. formatted his plan. "Doctor", came the warning cry, but it was too 
  33. late. The Doctor opened up the Tardis door and stepped outside.

  35.     "Doctor", screamed Peri once more, but almost as soon as she did 
  36. she saw the picture start changing once more. Changing for the better.
  37. Once more the features of the current Doctor became implanted on the 
  38. picture.

  40.     "Simple really", the Doctor explained to her later, away from the
  41. planet. "The Tardis has a mind of her own and was trying to warn me 
  42. of a coming nuclear disaster. I wasn't ready to change again, well 
  43. not just yet", he laughed.
